Megan's Empire Book One
(first person, Megan)
Megan is tried for wantonly endangering life, a charge that requires a MAX sentence, as well as other lesser charges. She is acquited of the MAX charges because of a lack of convincing evidence that lives were lost/endangered but found guilty of the malcontent charges and sentence to Alyeska with twenty points.
Consequences to the plot
Oh no, but she didn't really do anything wrong did she?
Why does it matter to Megan’s inner struggle?
Megan feels that no one has been loyal to her but then admits she knows better than that. She also admits that she isn't too sure if she did what she did out of concern for the citizenry of Albania or for herself because she didn't want to give up her dream of being CEO someday if she married the Chairman's son.
